Gina Rodriguez throws a mean left hook—and a right—in Vogue’s visit to her Los Angeles apartment for our latest 73 Questions installment. The 33-year-old Jane the Virgin actress also tells us whose closet she would most like to raid, her go-to room service order, and what the Hollywood of the future will look like (“The America I see every day”).
We get a few salsa moves, too—naturally, since Gina started dancing professionally at 7—and a little love for Betty White. Her rap name? “Cuts.” Most tantalizing are the projects this hard-working actress has on the way: Annihilation (“You’re going to see things you’ve never seen before in your life”); an animated Carmen Sandiego series for Netflix; and her first turn in the director’s chair on Jane the Virgin (season four drops next month).Best of all is her holiday love for the people of Puerto Rico and her one-word prescription for what we need to talk more about in 2018: “Empathy.” Yes, please.
Hello everyone, on December 10th, Gina was present at the premiere of her upcoming animated film ‘Ferdinand’ in Los Angeles. Sublime in a Georges Chakra dress, the actress was accompanied by her boyfriend Joe (who we quickly see on the photos) and all the actors who have lent their voices for this film ! Ferdinand is an upcoming 2017 American 3D computer-animated comedy-drama film produced by Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox Animation to be released on December 15, 2017 !
Hello everyone, on October 27th, Gina was back in New York to participate in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote Jane the virgin and Ferdinand. (She had to be there two weeks earlier to promote The Star, but having lost his mom at the same time, Jimmy Fallon – to whom we still send all our condolences – had canceled all the shows at that time). So Gina talks to Jimmy about her very Italian Thanksgiving, shows off her boxing skills and challenges Minka Kelly to a charity boxing match and talked about the sequel to JTV as well as her role in Ferdinand..
Hello everyone, on November 12th, Gina hit the white carpet at the premiere of ‘The Star’ at Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, Los Angeles. Gina was perfect in a multicolored mini dress with fringe Missoni and Casadei teal suede pumps. She joined her co-star Zachary Levi on the white carpet where the two colleagues seemed to have a lot of fun. Gina didn’t pose with her boyfriend Joe who was there yet (the lovers exchanged kisses at the beginning of the white carpet). Gina took the time to sign autographs and take selfies for her fans before joining her little nephew who was there to watch this family film !
